Christopher Kane

“Process. Process. Process,” a female voice-over repeated on the Christopher Kane runway. It had an automated, machine-age ring to it—and indeed, there was a description of Kane’s interest in factory workers and lab technicians in the press release. Really, though, what Kane was hinting at was the primacy of his own creative process, an inexplicable firing of the synapses which can decide he likes traditional pink damask one minute; oatmeal sweaters and plasticky holographic fabric the next; and pointy, strappy heels decorated with strips of spongy gray foam after that.

Mason was asked to shoot for 1968 ACG Nike lab brand, showroom based in the heart of London’s Shoreditch.

Anya Hindmarch

I was asked to shoot for Anya Hindmarch London Fashion Week SS2017 this is the collection in her own words:  "I was inspired by the joys of suburbia," said Hindmarch, backstage. "There’s something rather reassuring, quite normal, slightly boring – but actually very special – about it. I like that inside every identical box there are big dreams, massive plans." In the house that Anya built, there are also numerous kitsch pastel coats in neat Fifties shapes and wallpaper prints, glittery shoes, floral headbands, and squashy, ruffle-trimmed bags that look like creased eiderdowns or puffed cushions on three-piece suites – named the "Chubby" collection. "Those were hand-quilted and hand-stitched," said Hindmarch. "There was another like a pin-wheel, all hand pleated, so a really complicated piece to make." Also complicated were the linen dresses, with wicker embroidery in carpet-like swirls.
